Julia believes in utilizing the whole child approach to therapy and involving her client's "village" in therapy.
Julia is an English-Russian bilingual speech-language pathologist with over 10 years of experience working with pediatric and adult populations. She received an M.S. in Communication Disorders from William Paterson University. Julia holds an NJ license and is nationally ASHA certified. Along with working in her private practice, where she treated children with a variety of communication disorders, Julia provided speech-language therapy and conducted evaluations for NJ Early Intervention.
Julia enjoys working with her clients’ families. She believes in utilizing the “whole child” approach to therapy and involving parents and other caregivers in all aspects of therapy to maximize outcomes. Throughout her experience, Julia has developed special interests in Childhood Apraxia of Speech and Autism Spectrum Disorders. In order to bring the most comprehensive and up-to-date therapy to her clients, Julia has completed PROMPT (2nd level) and Nancy Kaufman CAS trainings. She has participated in CASANA CAS Advanced Training Series and has attended CASANA Annual Conferences as well as CAS and bilingualism conference.
Julia has attended an Orofacial Myology training with Mary Billings.
To better understand and address the needs of her Autistic clients, Julia has completed post graduate ASD certification program as well as received training in ESDM from UC Davis Mind Institute
Julia lives with her husband, three children, and a rescue dog Moose in Glen Rock, NJ, and is very excited to be able to serve families in her community.
