Mikayla received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University and her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology and Human Development, with a minor in Linguistics, from Boston College.
She has diverse clinical experience across a variety of settings, including Boston Children’s Hospital, public elementary school, and outpatient clinics. Mikayla has developed expertise in speech sounds, expressive and receptive language, stuttering, cognitive-communication, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), feeding, and swallowing. She has also worked extensively with individuals recovering from brain injuries and adults with aphasia.
Believing that therapy should be both effective and enjoyable, Mikayla incorporates client interests into sessions, making learning feel like play while still targeting meaningful goals. Her approach is collaborative and evidence-based, focusing on each individual’s unique strengths and needs. By creating a supportive and motivating environment, she empowers clients to build confidence and reach their full potential in communication and beyond.
In her free time, Mikayla enjoys dancing and exploring new languages.
