Paula co-founded Garden State Speech Therapy in 2015.
Paula Korik is a Speech and Language Pathologist with over sixteen (16) years of professional clinical experience. Prior to opening her private practice, Paula worked at the Pediatric Center for Feeding and Swallowing Disorders at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, did therapy and evaluations for Early Intervention, worked extensively with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a large school district in Bergen County, and worked in an Assisted Living Facility. Paula enjoys working with both children and adults to help them achieve their full potential. Paula is licensed to practice in NY and NJ. She has attended the following training and utilizes evidence-based practice and the latest techniques in her therapy sessions: PROMPT (Bridging), PECS, Lidcombe, Nancy Kaufman CAS method training, Orofacial Myology training with Mary Billings and Sarah Ward’s Executive Function remediation conference.
Paula prides herself on her continual interest in learning more about her field in order to better service her clients. She believes that multidisciplinary approach to therapy is most effective and frequently works with related service professionals.
Paula has experience with both the pediatric and adult populations and can offer a customized approach to speech/language, feeding/swallowing, voice, cognitive therapy, and articulation.
Speech Therapy is available in English and Russian.
