Shara Hirsch

Shara received her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Kean University.

She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology and Psychology from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. Additionally, Shara has completed coursework and practicum hours to become a certified Orton Gillingham Teacher.

Through over 10 years working in public schools and the clinical setting, Shara has gained expertise working with children and adults who present with a wide range of communication disorders including receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, dyslexia, stuttering, autism spectrum disorder, Down Syndrome and William’s Syndrome. She also has experience with AAC, is PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) Level I trained, and has facilitated social skills groups. 

Shara holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the state of New Jersey, has her Speech Language Specialist certification from the state of New Jersey, and is an International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC) certified Orton Gillingham Teacher.
